What you'll study

The MSc in Business Analytics is offered in collaboration with Queen Mary’s School of Mathematics and is aimed at those who are numerate and have a strong interest in developing statistical and business skills required to succeed in the digital economy.

This exciting new programme is ideal for anybody aiming to direct businesses in today’s digital economy. You will learn how to use insights from business analysis to inform strategy, provide direction for leadership and create value.

Our programme will take you beyond analytics and programming, teaching you how businesses are structured, how they operate and how digital skills are used to enhance business performance. You will gain an awareness of the leadership and organisational challenges associated with large-scale change projects driven by the digitisation of businesses and develop important leadership qualities such as communication, negotiation and teamwork.

  • Modules are assessed through a combination of coursework and written examinations
  • You will also be assessed through a group project

Research project

You will work in groups and will be required to provide analysis of a problem or question using complex data from a business context.

Career paths

A combination of academic study and practical training will prepare you for leadership roles or further research. This MSc can lead to a role in a variety of sectors, including data analysis and management consulting.
